12.2.2022 14.00 - Bahnhofsplatz/Escherbrunnen and entrance of the National Museum Our demonstration is in response to the tolerated presence of neo-Nazis at protests against the covid-19 measures and especially them marching in Bern on the 22nd of January. It is alarming that right-wing extremists could lead an anti-measures demonstration through the city centre. It is again being called for a large anti-COVID measures demonstration starting at Zurich main station. The call is again also supported by right-wing extremist circles. This time we are prepared! We will not allow the presence of neo-Nazis! Right-wing extremists were involved in the movement against the virus measures from the beginning. They were continuously taking part in the demonstrations and have been spreading their inhuman propaganda in the diffuse masses of people who oppose the measures. Here, in-between vaccination-myths, nationalism, brown esotericism and the speech of «natural selection», they succeed in bringing their inhuman positions to the people as socially acceptable «opinions». Now they dare to openly take the lead in this movement. What happened in Bern happened in cities all across Europe. It is becoming obvious everywhere: right-wing extremist groups strategically interfered in the chaos of the discussions about the «state of emergency» pandemic. They were also able to successfully network in the diffuse anti-measures movement. Now they are succeeding in imposing themselves on it as a determined top. That not being enough, these fascist organisations are welcomed by a large part of this mass movement We know that not all participants of the anti-measures demonstrations are convinced right-wing extremists. But the fact that “normal people” are suddenly marching behind the banner of a neofascist group is not at all reassuring, but all the more frightening - especially regarding the general social shift to the right. It is high time to wake up from the rigidity of shock! We say: Don’t let fascism get a foothold! Let’s work together to ensure that our streets do not once again become a stage for neo-Nazi propaganda!

The Zapatistas have been building on their lands, since their uprising 1994, autonomy over their food, education, health and governance systems in the south-east of Mexico. Their lands were grabbed during colonization and later reappropriated. Seven Zapatistas, called the escuádron 421, are travelling through Slumil K'ajxem K'op, also known as Europe, and are visiting Zurich. In the second part, the zapatistas will speak about their uprising and their autonomous struggles. This event is organized by the Encuentro feminista Zurich/Basel (feminist gathering).
