Your First Time at Megaformer Studio — here’s what you need to know:
🕛Arrive 15 minutes early: this will help you get acclimated with the mega and meet your teacher
👀 What is Lagree: Lagree is a patented, high-intensity, low-impact workout built on five components of fitness that tightens, tones, and deeply activates slow-twitch muscle fibers
🤝 We have expert trainers: our expert team has your back, we will support you throughout class and help you get into proper form
💧Recover and hydrate: make sure to stretch, rest, and hydrate after class your muscles will thank you!

As a yoga instructor and strength coach, I’m always exploring movement modalities that challenge the body while still honoring longevity, mobility, and nervous system awareness. Recently, I’ve really been enjoying the Lagree Fitness Method on the Megaformer @megaformerstudio created by @sebastien.lagree — and I completely understand why it’s growing so fast in major cities across the country, now including the DMV. 
What I appreciate most is that Lagree blends strength, endurance, core stability, balance, and cardio into one low-impact but VERY high-intensity workout. The slow tempo and constant time-under-tension forces you to stay mentally present while your stabilizer muscles are on fire 😭🔥 
And to be clear — this is NOT me putting down traditional Reformer Pilates at all. Pilates is incredible for alignment, rehabilitation, posture, flexibility, and body awareness. I’ll always respect it. 🙏🏾
But what makes Lagree unique for me personally is the intensity and strength component. As someone who lives in both the yoga and strength-training worlds, Lagree feels like a bridge between mindful movement and athletic performance. It gives me the burn and muscular endurance of strength training while still protecting the joints and demanding breath control, precision, and focus. 💪🏾🧘🏾♂️
It’s humbling. It’s efficient. It exposes weaknesses QUICKLY 😂 and it reminds you how important control is over ego.
The future of wellness isn’t choosing one modality over another… it’s understanding how different movement systems can work together to help us move, perform, recover, and live better. 🌎✨
