Introducing... The Overhead! 🎾
This was our submission for the UK Graphic Awards, where we came away with an award in the Live Events Category!
We are extremely proud of this install, not just due to the scale but the complexity and teamwork involved. This project was installed all via rope access (nothing new) but involved having the building 3d scanned before the install even started so that the print would be as accurate as humanly (well laser-ly) possible. The print had to be matched up across two separate surfaces ... glass and brickwork, being precisely installed at separate times due to the complexity of the installation.
It required months of planning and testing in order to pull off, we started almost the year before trying out materials, leaving them in place and then coming back and checking their progress in order to make the final decision, all for the biggest tennis tournament in the world, Wimbledon.
Working alongside our client: Hallmark Outdoor, as well as VGL who supplied the print.
