LAUNCH PARTY • We’re throwing it back to our Volume 10 launch party (captured by @media.function and hosted at @taftmuseum 👏🏻) because our sights are already set on the Volume 11 year to come…
The TSG launch party is the marquee event of our year 🙌🏻 This exclusive event is for members-only, to come together and celebrate all the work that goes into the collective investment that is the complimentary guide book that will be distributed all around the Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky region. We throw this kind of party because it is deserved—the locally owned businesses and business owners of our area deserve the credit, the praise, and the party, and we couldn’t be here for it more if we tried.
We are currently scouting for next year’s volume, one that we hope focuses and honors many of the hometown heroes and brands we know and love. This is a call for the big, the small, and everything in between. Want to see yourself at next year’s party? Hit us up—we’d love to chat 🤜🏻🤛🏻
During the holidays it feels so good to see family and laugh at memories. Developing characters is the same. It good to know who they are, where they come from, and the things they do that make them special. What makes them unique, interesting, and curious.
Setting up the big story to come, it’s nice to spend time with the people you’re in this journey with, and further realize why this experience of life is so important.
The environment is the most important character. It tells more about the origin of a story than any basic exposition can provide. So much of this imagery is extremely dear to me. This amazing place my family have and still call home, was an incredible escape for me as a kid in the summers. It felt like a historical journey of family, and lineage met with home run derby nights, and long days on the water. My brother got to experience actual fire runs in the city as a kid.
This trip was a culmination of so many things for me. Golf, thinking, making, future, past… I got to experience years of incredible feelings all in the matter of days, with amazing people, in a dream like place.
Sometimes this exercise in prep is important to see that clips you thought were cool, are just okay. This allows me to understand the “driving sequence” will likely be a quick montage, and probably needs to include more shots of the actual destination as an intro tease.
Winter means some kind of special project. This winter it’s a multi-part docu-series about a super special golf trip I took in early fall.
My initial stage in most projects is assembly, however I like to take the time to export still images from the assembly file to immediately see what shots are speaking to me. I can board these out to guide the story, and begin blocking out narration and beats.
Messing around with these images gives me an idea of what I’d like the piece to look like as well, not to mention all of these can now become transitional assets for animation etc.
New video and stills promo piece with an edit in collaboration with my friend Josh at @media.function 📸📹
I am very excited to say we will be offering video as well as stills in 2026. Josh and I have been friends for 10+ years and we can’t wait to share a bit more of what we have been cooking up. Stay tuned.

A simple set up can go a long way. Sometimes all you need is a good camera, lens, and the incredibly pure energy of your 3 year old nephew, (who is amazing btw).
This is probably the biggest bear either of us have seen in real life. Getting to capture a moment like that is one of the reasons this is so fun to do.
