Ever since I had to restart my socials (and life) I felt I always had to wait to share what I’ve done/my accomplishments, as if I needed to build my credentials to reaching to that point of sharing, but I realized that there is no time in life to wait because tomorrow is never promised. I really wished that I believed in myself around this time so I can continue pushing more of what I did on top of that. I used to dim my light for others for approval because I didn’t want them to hate me but it halted my progress to grow. This isn’t to gloat or to rub it in people‘s face, but when you struggle with believing in yourself and try to tell people what you do, your confidence may waver and your words may only do so much. I think it’s also good we surround ourselves with accomplishments to remind us what we can do and how we overcame those road bumps in life. Lately I’ve been feeling like a stranger online and had to realize that’s not who I am.
Around this time this interview with @abc7la LA was done (special thanks to @smilesouthcentral ) , I can still remember the interview on Zoom I had one cold winter morning in New York outside on the fire escape of my friends’ place, double layered trying to stay warm. I wasn’t that great at expressing myself, but I tried my best. I was super nervous at the time but now watching this and looking back, I know now it’s OK to laugh, get better and move on. So I just wanted to share this with those that come across my page who wonder what that human interaction is like with me lol. I’ve grown a lot since then but I guess the best way to prove that is if you meet me in person/stay tuned with the content that I have to push to make time to edit and post (but please be patient with me). Life has been lifin’ but just know that good things are coming.🩷
