One of our long-time volunteers is heading overseas from mid-March and we are looking for someone to cover Tuesday evening shifts! Weekly of fortnightly commitment required. Please email [email protected] for more info 😎
Here at Ye Olde Mechanical Tempest we accumulate some pretty interesting bicycle parts. These BSA pedals are super cool vintage style. One has a bit of bearing play but they would look great on your 10 speed, fixie or city bike. This might be the start of Weird Parts Wednesday.
.
We will be closed over the Christmas/NY break from 19th Dec to 5th Jan.
We’ve only got a few shifts left before we wrap up the workshop for 2025!
Don’t forget to check our calendar before popping in, just in case a volunteer is off sick or can’t be in that day!

Here's a little walk through showing you how to find the workshop from the street! We are serious about the WALKING YOUR BIKE thing so please respect this etiquette. If you MUST ride, there is a driveway just after this entrance.
We are open Monday to Thursday, 6-8pm. Not today though cos Steph is sick. Keep an eye on FB/Insta stories or the calendar on our website for updates.
Mechanical Tempest is back!! After nearly 2 years of being without a workshop we are reopening from 7 October at 21 Brooklyn Rd in Mt. Cook 🥳
Check out our opening hours at /calendar/u/0/[email protected]&ctz=Pacific/Auckland
As we get new volunteers involved our workshop hours are a bit limited but watch this space for increased opening hours and the opportunity to celebrate our re-opening soon!
