Neil Diamond x Rick Rubin sessions produced a collection of songs that couldn’t fit onto just one album. Wild At Heart completes the release of the songs Neil and Rick crafted together. It’s an honor to design another Diamond release. 💎💙

Just received a bunch of new records from Blue Note, including the recently uncovered live Horace Silver recording: "Silver In Seattle - Live At The Penthouse." Recorded on two dates in August of ‘65, the band consisted of Horace Silver, Woody Shaw, Joe Henderson, Teddy Smith, and Roger Humphries.

It’s amazing to see how much difference a good cover can make! The new Tone Poet pressing of Hank Mobley’s “Third Season” has a brand new cover design that is much more in-line with the traditional and iconic Blue Note style of the 50’s and 60’s.
This album was recorded in 1967, but was not released until 1980, at a time when a very different style of artwork was being used. Flip through the photos in this post to see both covers. Which one do you prefer? To me, there is no comparison!

True story:
According to legend, our original Hawaiian rum was placed into oak casks for aging in Maui, a few thousand feet above sea level in Makawao, on the slopes of Haleakala. Sammy Hagar’s nickname for this specific batch was “Rested in Paradise” (RIP). Years later, our production was relocated to Puerto Rico and those Hawaiian rum-filled casks were lost - a decade later they were rediscovered.
The original recipe for Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum was made from pure cane juice, harvested on the island of Maui, and converted into golden sugar at the old C&H sugar factory on the island before it was driven up the mountain to Haliimaile Distillery and distilled into rum. 10 years resting in oak casks have aged this rum to what Sammy considers perfection. We celebrate the discovery of this golden aged treasure, known as Sammy’s Lost Cask, with a limited edition bottling of 500, some randomly signed by Sammy Hagar.
Lost - but not forgotten.
