I've been grieving alot lately to not have met or worked alongside one of the greatest builders before he passed, Sun Ray Kelly. Been thinking that I needed to experience one of his builds.
Met someone randomly lately and they told me about Spoon Carving Club at a spot in Portland where they sauna afterwards. Sun Ray would show up randomly to sauna here and with the likes of the great Michael Hurley. Thank you kindly @slough.ghost for hosting, @_saintbay for the magic connections and Suze @susannasarts for being an amazing steward. You can get acupuncture/massage work here in one of Sun Rays creations.

Winter will be missed. It was a tough one but loved it all. Lost some animals, gained some. Isn't that the way of life though? Kids are growing up way too fast. Our meals are getting alot more tasty. Learning how to be a better father/man.

Things I built in 2024. It was my biggest year yet, with a lot of growth and a new tax bracket(yuck!) Feeling really proud and stoked to see what I can do. Looking at mistakes and moving forward. Couldn't have done it without my amazing wife and business partner Sydney. She hates the big, technical projects but slayed nonetheless. Shoutout to Ini for being there too and shoutout to our neighbors for keeping us busy in slow, broke times.

The last groovy structure I got to stay in whilst building, was last summer in the Columbia River Gorge in this underground, hobbit like rock home. There was a gnarly heat wave there so it was quite the oasis. Thanks to @theo_holdt and @saratinkbeequeen for providing such a great home. The bee dance was wild! And big thanks @cyrus_sutton for the culmination 🤙☀️🏡

Working at @indigenousregeneration in Southern California for a spell. Check out what they do, we need more places like this. I always get to stay in the grooviest of houses, wherever the builder road takes me. Drying in this post, horse stable roofline, for a kitchen and recreational area. Good to get away from the harsh winter back home in Arkansas. 🤙⚒☀️ Got to see Falcon 9 go into space, and dump its load over the Pacific.

Ozark Pan forest god mask I made for a New Years bash. Had some all nighters with this one. Totally worth it. Even able to get my groove on with it on. Masks/costume can really make a person dive deep into oneself and reveal whats down there. Mink coats from the 1920s had Sydney n I feeling lavish. 👌❇🌙

We've been loving working with the french treehouse crew @treehouse_experts in our backyard in the Ozarks. They really fly on projects, its such a joy to be a part of. This canopy tour is handicap accessible and is being built for Shepard of the Hills in Branson, Missouri.
