You might have heard - we’re throwing a party, a fully virtual community event: Blue Sunday Tea for M.E. on May 17th at 1:00 PM ET/ 10:00 AM PT. Registration link in bio. So, we are hosting this pacing-friendly gathering to create a space for people to connect and have some gentle fun while we raise some money for MEAction and Solve ME. Today is ME Awareness Day and we’re furious about the reality of life with this illness. ME/CFS is a serious, complex disease that leaves 3/4 of its victims disabled. Yet it is not recognized as “medically frail” by the US, leading to significant neglect and gaslighting from medical care and social services. Awareness is the first step to changing this. That’s why for the Frail & Furious campaign we’re proud to bring together all our recent efforts to make this illness visible: the Raleigh ME Awareness day proclamation and a letter of support from our Gov. Stein. Two official recognitions, one message: ME/CFS deserves visibility, understanding, and action. We thank Mayor Cowell and Governor Stein for recognizing the devastating impact of ME/CFS. We’re grateful to be seen.
