things are back on for mindful., here are a few new things i’m introducing, and a few things i’m just making updates on:
1. the introduction of the lifelog.
>the lifelog on the website is meant to be an everyday blog sort of thing, where i’m just journaling about anything, whatever my mind is thinking at the time or simply whatever i’m going through personally at any given moment. there can be insights, funny stories both fiction-nonfiction, the possibilities are endless!
>also gives site updates on new additions, free stuff like downloads, and news related to my own personal endeavours under mr. blue, bel richardson, etc.

🗒️Synopsis:
“The Analyst is the story of Bel Richardson, a junior research analyst that was contracted by a powerful firm to study pedology, soundscape ecology, and the effects of new media in the current world. Known to stay awake for long periods of time without fatigue, and remaining as sharp as the first hour, he was a valuable asset to the firm. With his value increasing, so did his responsibility. It was one day where he struck a connection as to what the firm’s intentions were with the information that he diligently fetched for them every night. A man who thought he could not be shaken by morals, suddenly found himself on the run once the firm confirmed his departure. And thus, word of ‘The Analyst’ made its way to the streets, as his newfound alliances that reinforce his own beliefs and intentions became Mr. Richardson’s arsenal to return fire at the firm. In efforts to reach other like-minded individuals and organizations, two auditory transmissions were created, codified with details of the firms intentions and an understanding as to “why the truth is the truth.” Ultimately, due to these events, Bel Richardson will be gone for a long, long time, leaving room for fellow firm defector and longtime counterpart Mr. Blue to focus on operations; Bel Richardson does want to emphasize that he will eventually return.”

🧠 mindful. update:
i’ve updated the site to include something that resembles a photo gallery, moments i’ve captured on film since coming back to photography a few weeks ago. it’s been a little break from how fast everything’s felt since the summertime, 3 jobs in service rolling sleeves up to pay the bills. but it’s all been so fun, reinvigorating in a way since i constantly have to be on my feet. since trading sitting for standing, with mindful., it’s also gotten me back into the rhythm, a rhythm i feel like i lost within the years, don’t know really…life’s always up and down for everyone. the writing slowed down a bit for me naturally, went more so into personal tales and morning page imitations, but also just shifted gears a bit to work more on music, refining sense into dj sets. the year was always getting back into the rhythm, and toward the end of it i’m just looking to really lock in and feel that rhythm. the addition to photography feels natural to the site, as mindful. has always been about telling a story, photographs do the same. send me your photography, i’ll add it to the gallery maybe! there are a few articles i have to wipe the dust off… just a bit of dust…but look forward to pressing on again, about music, arts, life.

previously introduced to the low pressings catalogue by hearing flow’s records, such great music pushed my curiosity to look further in what other head turners were present. i paused upon the discovery of spacejunk, a duo consisting of john vick and murray richardson from the lands of scotland - of course my heart is in ‘rock the deep.’ anything out of this region and the uk alone holds that basis of discovery and release of reality for me, always taking me off the sidewalk and into the sky. this is what ‘rock the deep’ does for me, lifts the hairs off my body as i commute between three jobs in brooklyn simply just trying to put a lid on my debts…this little rat race new york in general is (where i am standing and writing from), where just about everything can feel like a job. in a world where the score is apparent and we love to think around that said score, get distracted, whatever…it is tracks like this that remind who you are and who the world is dealing with. a true wavedasher that belongs in any electronic lover’s life survival kit, right next to the headphones. as my hometown fellas in miami would say: this track is stooooooopid good. cheers to those who get a copy for themselves, they’re around :)

presented by mindful., a selection of music to air condition the mind, body, and soul from the hot summertime weather. i’ve always loved providing a selection and presenting new tracks to everyone week-by-week, mostly driven by what i’m following on soundcloud. with all this music searching, i’ve really honed into the idea of making themed playlists that define a feeling or a state, and in this case, this translates to the summer we’ve had thus far. in an effort to cool off, this selection entails that of a reclining mood, taking it nice and easy throughout and keeping the good feelings up. i offer this as a chance to get away from what’s bothering you, to escape for a bit into the mental beach hideaway (or wherever that may be for you - that’s my personal mental).
