We are thrilled to announce that Emanuele Conte, MFI fashion design student, has been selected as a finalist in this year’s MET Design Competition! This prestigious contest, introduced to us by Ruben Toledo and supported by the Bezos family, Saint Laurent, and Condé Nast, received submissions from top fashion schools nationwide. This year marks MFI’s first participation, making this recognition especially meaningful.
Emanuele will present his collection for judging at the College Night event and award ceremony on May 12th at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
Being recognized alongside top institutions is a testament to the dedication and talent of MFI’s faculty, who have guided and mentored Emanuele throughout this process. We couldn’t be prouder!
Imagine pitching your original cartoon idea to Nickelodeon or Disney while still in school. That's exactly what students at MAGIC get to do.
Our mentees visited MDC Wolfson, got a real look at what two years in animation and game design can open up, and walked right into a parade celebrating 305 Day and America's 250th.
The City of Miami's first female Mayor, Eileen Higgins, was there, and she said exactly what everyone was feeling: MDC has a way of making every person in the community feel like they belong.

The Miami Fashion Institute once again leads the Fashion Scholarship Fund College Scholarship recipients, with six students recognized—the highest among participating institutions.
This year’s recipients include students from both the Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising programs:
Fashion Design: Mauro Blanc, Zachary Middleton.
Fashion Merchandising: Christine Modeste, David Rodriguez, Katerina Valdes, Valeria Jusef.
Each recipient receives a $5,000 scholarship, mentorship opportunities, access to the FSF Virtual Summer Scholar Series, and participation in the Fashion Industry Immersive Experience this July in California and New York City.
Big win for Wolfson 🎮🏆
Our @esports_mdc team, led by Coach Jamal Mackey, dominated the Marvel Rivals Tournament, making it to the finals and taking home the win.
Undefeated all season with 10 matches played and zero losses.
