Here is a fun one that I did over the last week. This is J.R.R. Tolkien’s monogram done in a warmer fashion. For those unaware, he’s the author of The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings books among other things - which to this day, continue to hold up as some of the greatest fantasy stories ever written.

🧸x🦈=💥 — 30”x24” mixed media on canvas. A galactic toy chest collaboration with @riccox24x that predates almost everything on my page. Last month I decided to dust it off and finish what was started maybe 15 years ago. Super happy to share this ancient relic with you.
Lots of small details here and if you look closely, you’ll see our names in the ABC blocks. I’ve only taken progress pictures of it within this last month so there aren’t any older photos of it.

A fun book experiment I finished a last month for a friend’s black book. The base purple colors are super cheap $5 markers that all dried out while coloring only two pages haha! The oranges and blacks are silky smooth Copic markers that I’m looking forward to using more often. 94 for the spray effect and neon gel pens for the final touch. My letters are in there somewhere.

The Dark Knight - Layer upon layer of splats and lines finally finds its sweet balance in this long overdue Batman piece. Drawn with the always trusted Prismacolor markers, Ironlak paint markers, and lined with Sakura micron pens.
I battled myself on multiple occasions to get this done so it comes with great relief to finally hand it over. Keep at it - the only person stopping you is yourself. The night is darkest just before the dawn.
