What stupid things have you done today? This was mine. After filming @mission.e1 I saw ankle weights and decided to put as many on as I could fit and tried to press to handstand. I’m guessing these are 1kg each so it’s 8kg. I tried 10kg and that didn’t work. How’s your press going? What problems are you having? Can I help? #presstohandstand #circuseverydamnday #yoga #calisthenics

Challenge by @andry_strong 60 second handstand push up. 30s down and then 30s up. Down was ok, up was horrible, at one point I thought I was going to black out. Terrible technique but it’s all I had. Probably won’t try again lol Thanks for the challenge @andry_strong

Great drill for balance - if you have a corridor or can be between two doors like I am then this is an amazing drill to help learn how to create, control and get confident with your balance. When your chest is on the wall you want to think about moving your body forwards from the shoulders, ribs and hips. Not just the hips. When your back is towards the wall you want to use your fingers and then open your shoulders to get off the wall. Be careful not to be floppy in your body. Keep that body tension. Let me know how they go and message me with questions.

One of my favourite shapes to watch on stage, not necessarily my favourite to hold as I feel like I’m constantly on the edge. Like a ball on a tight wire. Makes no sense to say it out loud but that’s how it feels.

Today’s little play session, sadly didn’t stick the 1 arm because dinner was ready and I wanted food more 😝 . Give it a try, it’s annoying but addictive.

Last we checked, you’re teetotal. So no, @mcsammyd , you can’t blame it on a hangover. 🤣 If you’d like to learn how to meal plan and sing like Freddie Mercury when teaching handstands, visit the trainings link in our bio. Our next Level 1 Handstands TT with one of London’s top teachers, Sammy, starts soon — February 12-16. Spaces limited for maximum attention.

Since my injury, something unexpected shifted. My mindset slowed down… and honestly, it softened. It used to be about being fit enough to do my acts. Stronger. Higher. More. Now it’s about calmness. Technique. Understanding why things work. Learning so I can teach better. Listening to my body instead of trying to outrun it. I don’t feel the same urgency to prove anything anymore. And weirdly? That’s where the real growth started. I’m learning in a different way now, not just for myself, but for my students too. And that feels grounding in a way I didn’t expect. I feel I have learnt so much from this injury an getting back into shape. Has an injury, pause, or setback ever changed how you see your practice? What did it teach you that pushing never did? Do you think slowing down can actually make you better? I’d love to hear your experience

Stalders with Wessie 🐶 he’s my biggest cheerleader. Sometimes he makes it very hard to train 💪 because he gives me the best cuddles In between sets and it’s so hard to tell him to move. A video of me doing stalders is nothing new but, we didn’t know with my wrist injury if we could handstand again let alone press. 2 weeks ago I tried my first stalder. Last week I did a stalder into every handstand 🤸🏻‍♂️. This week I went for 5 and I got it. I want to see if I can get my 10 in a row back. I don’t think I’m far off but it’s also not a priority. I could have done more today but, I don’t want to make my wrist worse. What this space - 10 coming soon, as a side quest.

Small group. Big attention. Very few spots left. In this 5-day Level 1 training you’ll learn how to teach the kick-to-handstand to anyone — any level, any body — with @mcsammyd , one of London’s top handstand teachers. You’ll learn how to spot what’s really holding someone back (fear, flexibility, strength, confidence) and how to work with it, not against it. Open to movement teachers and serious handstand lovers. Capped at a small group so everyone gets real, hands-on coaching. Almost full. If you’re in, book via the link in our bio now. Feb 12-16. #missione1
