Great Visit Day for our Textiles applicants at Manchester School of Art 🎨✨
A day filled with inspiration, creativity and hands- on making. Featuring a talk, tour and workshop led by Clare Calveley and Kate Egan.
Taking inspiration from Bruno Munari’s character drawings, students explored form through playful experimentation; creating bold, colourful textile heads using deadstock fabrics and yarns. Guided by Richard Serra’s action verbs (wrap, cut, squash, fold, gather) ideas were transformed into tactile, expressive pieces.
An exciting glimpse into the creativity and curiosity of our future makers 💫
