This was a commission piece that really got my hands moving.
When my client reached out asking if I could create this a honey dipper styled on a Morel Mushroom, I jumped at the opportunity.
Recreating the natural forms of this prized foraging find was a delightful exercise in patience and flow.
Made from UK Oak, I used the Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban to help seal the wood for use but primarily to help highlight the beauty of the Morel.
