Metropolitan College of New York is excited to celebrate our partnership with the NORTH BRONX CAREER COUNSELING AND OUTREACH CENTER (NBCCOC). Today’s breakfast meeting brought together leadership from both institutions for a positive and productive conversation focused on future opportunities. The morning reflected a strong spirit of collaboration and a mutual commitment to supporting scholars and strengthening communities across New York City. We look forward to the work ahead and to building something meaningful together. Thank you, Vice President of Enrollment and Student Success, Dr. Hamilton Raymond, for your leadership.

It was a great honor last night at the Schneps Media Manhattan Power List Awards as our President, Dr. Charles J. Gibbs, was recognized as Educator of the Year. While President Gibbs was unable to attend, he was proudly represented by the #MCNY team and Dr. Hamilton Raymond, Vice President for Enrollment and Student Success. The evening, hosted by Honorary Alumna Dr. Cheryl Wills, celebrated leaders across New York City. We also congratulate MCNY alumnus Larry Scott Blackmon, MPA ’07, and all of the Power List honorees. Please join us once again in congratulating President Gibbs on this well-deserved recognition and for continuing to lead MCNY with purpose. #EducatorOfTheYear #PurposeCenteredEducation

Congratulations to Fruzenjnae Smith for being selected to present her Constructive Action (CA) project at the 18th Master’s Students’ Thesis Panel during the 2026 American Society for Public Administration Conference in Los Angeles. Her presentation explored trauma-informed and relationship-based strategies designed to move supportive housing away from compliance monitoring and toward meaningful client engagement. As MCNY MPA alums continue to lead with purpose, Fruzenjnae’s work is a strong example of how rigorous academic research can drive real-world systemic change. #MPA #ASPA2026 #MCNY #PublicPolicy MCNY’s one-year Master of Public Administration program offers concentrations in Healthcare Management, Nonprofit Management, and Public Administration through the Metropolitan College of New York School for Public Affairs and Administration.
