This April, MCN brought our Wellness Fair programming to the Bronx alongside incredible community advocates and partner organizations dedicated to serving local families.
Through our holistic model of care, families were able to access health resources, educational support, financial wellness services, mental health resources, childcare, translation services, and more, all under one roof.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this event possible. Community care begins with showing up for one another, and we look forward to continuing this work together.
MCN partnered with Sauti Yetu to facilite an eye opening and sensitive session on CSA in our muslim immigrant communities. Some women shared intimate stories of surviving childhood assa*lt. Participants learned about ways to report and stay protected from abusers and how to properly respond to survivors sharing their experiences.
Understanding your rights should never be out of reach. MCN’s Know Your Rights workshops equip communities with essential immigration information, clarify the difference between NYPD and ICE, and provide practical guidance for safe interactions. We also connect participants to trusted resources and tailor sessions to meet community needs.

Residents, elected officials and local organizations rally on 3rd Ave East 149th Street to Albany to pass a food policy reform to protect children and residents from unhealthy eating.

For businesses and property owners, storm prep isn’t optional. Keeping sidewalks and gutters clear isn’t just about cleanliness, it’s a legal responsibility that helps prevent flooding on your block.
You’re not required to clear street catch basins, but a blocked grate can flood your business, your customers’ cars, and your entrance. If you can safely clear debris, it makes a difference.
Small actions ahead of a storm protect your space, your neighbors, and your community.

On Friday at Roberto Clemente Plaza, our client @mcnny joined Bronx lawmakers, alongside nonprofit leaders, elected officials, and community advocates, to rally for Albany to pass critical food policy reforms to protect children and families across New York. The event spotlighted misleading marketing and the lack of clear sodium and added-sugar warnings in chain restaurants, calling for greater transparency and equity in public health.
"The food sold in New York's restaurants and stores shaped my childhood, and it is shaping the childhoods of millions of kids across the State right now. Our families deserve to know what is in their food, deserve warning labels on items that will put them in the hospital, and deserve schools that do not serve their children synthetic dyes linked to harm. Muslim Community Network stands with our champions in the legislature and our coalition in calling on Albany to pass this package this session. South Bronx families have waited long enough."
— Husein Yatabarry, Executive Director, Muslim Community Network
Last month, Hassan Naveed joined community groups to present NYC Against Hate Violence, a policy proposal for the city to invest $26-30 million in non-carceral hate violence prevention. Today, Hassan joined the Mamdani administration as the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Mayor of Community Safety. Yalla, let’s make our city safer for all of us!

Islamophobia is not just a social issue. It is a policy issue. And it demands real policy solutions.
We joined a powerful NYC City Council conversation alongside community leaders and advocates to bring the lived experiences of Muslim New Yorkers directly to those shaping policy. This is what it looks like to move from awareness to action.
Join us for the 2026 Disabilities Forum for the NY07 Democratic Primary 🗳️
This hybrid forum brings together candidates and community members to discuss critical issues impacting people with disabilities across our city. Accessibility, equity, and representation matter, and your voice belongs in the conversation.
