The McMaster Tamileelam Students’ Association (MacTSA) 2025/2026 team is honoured and deeply grateful to share that, through your continued support, and with the unwavering support of
@aasai.foundation and
@vanni.hope , we successfully donated $1,000 CAD and we were able to give back to our community in meaningful ways.
With this fundraiser, we supported several important spaces across our homeland: the Selvangar Elders Day Centre in Kilinochchi, Miani Girls Home in Thannamunai (Batticaloa), Vipulananda Boys Home in Thirupaluhamam (Batticaloa), and Shakti Girls Home in Kaluwanchikudy (Batticaloa). Through your generosity, we provided meals and essential support to both elders and children in these communities.
A total of $800 CAD went directly toward providing meals for orphaned children, ensuring they received proper nourishment and care. In addition, $200 CAD has been allocated toward an upcoming Killithattu tournament this August, an initiative aimed at creating a safe and engaging environment for youth to connect, learn, and celebrate our national sport.
To everyone who contributed, whether by donating, sharing, or supporting our efforts, thank you for your support. Your impact goes beyond what words can capture, and we are incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together. As always, we encourage the global Eelam Tamil diaspora, here in Canada and around the world, to continue uplifting our brothers and sisters back home. Every contribution, big or small, helps build a stronger future.
With this project marking the close of the 2025/2026 MacTSA year, we’re excited for what’s ahead. The 2026/2027 team is preparing even more meaningful projects and events, we look forward to continuing this journey together.
