Today we honour Red Dress Day, the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S+).
The red dress serves as a powerful symbol of the Indigenous lives lost and the ongoing impacts of violence rooted in colonial systems.
This day is one of remembrance, reflection, and continued commitment to learning, advocacy, and action.

The Undergraduate Medical Education program learners were hard at work today, discussing Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Girls and 2-Spirit (MMIWG2S), and painting awareness rocks they will scatter through the community!
The McMaster community is invited to help celebrate and welcome Patricia Farrugia as the new associate dean, Indigenous Health.
The event will feature Spring Equinox teachings by Cari-Lynn Henhawk, the Auntie-in-Residence at the Indigenous Health Learning Lodge. Light refreshments will be provided.
