I’m never good at these things, but our munchkin man Marley passed away this past weekend and there are a lot of you that knew him well and have been around for a lot of his life. He was 15 years old, had a nice long life.
Marley was forever a puppy. Definitely the cutest dog for his age in Brooklyn…no doubt.
For his size, you’d be surprised, but some of his favorite things were the beach, chasing pigeons, and when his parents came home from work. Marley was one of the best “greeters” there was. Always so happy to see you, ready to shower you with smush ball kisses and little grunts of excitement.
(Check my Instagram story highlights titled “welcomes” )
Looking back, he had a great life. He went to so many places and explored as much as his little legs could take him. He knew so many people and had some great moments with them all. From JMU, to all the apartments in DC, to Brooklyn, to weekends in the Hamptons, to summers on Long Beach island. He prob greeted you with an initial bark…paused, looked at one of us, checked back on you, and then sped up to you to administer what we called a “smush attack”. He would almost knock himself off balance by wagging his tail so hard.
He died surrounded by love with Alyssa, her boyfriend Eric, and Marley’s step sister Coco.
The hardest thing for me is not being there when he passed. I would of liked to give him so many kisses and hugs and belly rubs and treats and so much more.
But knowing he was with Alyssa, Eric and Coco in his last days is comforting. I know he was being held, and loved….
Rest In Peace Marley munchkin man
I hope you have lots of friends, treats, walks, and beach days forever.
Fun stuff in the Hamptons.
