The bathroom was the first room we tackled and we decided to move it into the awkward square central room in our victorian terrace. The marble floor is almost entirely salvaged whilst either sourcing for M&L or rescuing offcuts from a local stone mason (only one slab purchased new) A space for ritual, not routine. Linen blind and cafe curtain made by @hils_studio . Hoping to fill with more art in time.
It’s always nice to put a face to a name and considering McIntosh & Light are middle & surnames it’s about time I post a picture of myself.
I’m Sally Light, I curate this online collection of furniture, objects & art.
Thank you for all your likes, messages and on going support. I really appreciate it and love working with you all.
After 6 years of working as an antique dealer & 6 years prior as a fashion designer, I’m so pleased to share the launch of Sally Light Interior Design.
A natural progression from moving beyond sourcing individual pieces to designing complete spaces, considering not just what sits within them, but how they flow, function and feel.
Both disciplines come together in how I think about texture, proportion, material and form, allowing each space to evolve in a way that feels intuitive and considered.
Sustainability sits at the core of my work, with a focus on restoration, reuse, and sourcing pieces with history and character.
I work across residential projects of all scales, from single rooms to full homes and renovations, offering a flexible and collaborative approach tailored to each client.
I’m now taking on new projects, please feel free to get in touch via DM or email to discuss.
