After years of watching this building rise from the ground up, the tower is finished — and now the book telling its story has arrived too.
Autobiography of a Skyscraper by Francis Greenburger and Rebecca Paley just landed on my doorstep from OR Books.
Francis says projects like this “take a village,” and getting the chance to photograph pieces of the journey — and meet many of the people who made it happen — made that very clear.
From the vision of JAHN to the incredible work of McHugh Construction and so many trades and craftspeople along the way, it’s been inspiring to see what collaboration at this scale looks like.
Most of the time I only see the finished architecture.
This project offered a rare look behind the scenes.
Grateful to have been a small part of the village.
