Her first name came to us Friday night while we were in the labor and delivery room. A Sierra Ferrell song came on our baby playlist and we remembered Lake Tahoe is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Lake Tahoe - aka “the Jewel of the Sierra” - was the first trip we took together when I visited Dave in California. It’s a place we love dearly.
Her middle name, Elizabeth, is for both Dave’s Mimi and my Grammie.
Having our baby placed on my chest and hearing Dave say “it’s a girl!” will be forever imprinted in my heart.
