2022 WVGC Invitational was an amazing experience. The course is, without fail, chock full of local knowledge. Built on a New Jersey mountain valley, the greens break in a way that feel seemingly haunted. Course conditions were perfect, the movement showed as much. Exemplary example of how tree removal can solve many problems and open a course to better and more creative play. Huge thanks to Alan for having me. Big thanks to the amazing staff, superintendent and crew, fellow members and guests.
After a truly harrowing doctors visit last Friday I went to MT with Megan and talked to an old friend. It felt good to be back at a place that is horrific and awfully sad, to work through some stuff that is happening now. 2006, 2013, 2019, 2022. So many huge ink blots on my life. Good to never forget, to move forward, and learn from the unimaginable. Andrew Evans lives on forever in my heart and I miss him every day.
