We recently brought our 2026 Flavor of the Year to life in New York City through an immersive, multi-sensory dining event-- Sensoria: The Black Currant Experience 💜 Designed to engage all five senses, the evening showcased the bold, vibrant notes of Black Currant through a thoughtfully curated multi-course tasting menu. Unexpected pairings and artful design elements blurred the line between culinary innovation and creative expression. The event welcomed a dynamic mix of guests — from consumers and leading foodservice brands like Whataburger, to media professionals from Delish and influencers in the food space — creating meaningful dialogue around flavor. Congratulations to our Flavor Forecast team for bringing this vision to life and continuing to shape what’s next in flavor!

Earlier this week, we were proud to recognize our 2026 Unsung Heroes - outstanding student athletes across the Baltimore area who lead with selflessness, resilience, and heart. This year, we awarded a total of $105,000 in scholarships, including two $40,000 Charles Perry McCormick Scholarships to: 🏅 Tempris Harrison of Frederick Douglass High School 🏅 Avery Ray of Franklin High School Four additional students were also recognized: Kate Cabrera from Loch Raven High School and Tavon Brown from Reginald F. Lewis High School were each awarded $7,500 scholarships, while Bianca Crainiceanu from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and Donte Harrison from Benjamin Franklin High School each received $5,000 scholarships. The evening featured an engaging keynote from guest speaker @jforsett , 9-Year NFL Pro Bowl Veteran and CEO/Co-Founder of Hustle Clean. “Greatness grows best in the shadows,” he said to the students as he reminded them to trust the process and remember that “there is greatness inside you.” The corresponding Q&A session was moderated by emcee Scott Garceau, of Orioles TV and featured questions from student-athletes in attendance. Now in its 86th year, the Unsung Heroes program reflects McCormick’s enduring belief in the Power of People — celebrating those who make a lasting impact not for recognition, but for the success of others.
