Commencement complete. Two ceremonies last evening saw more than 1,200 MCC grads walk the stage to celebrate the reward for their hard work with friends, family and the MCC community.

A 2014 graduate of the Culinary Arts program and owner/head chef of Okra African Grill, Sodji has built a nationally recognized brand rooted in authentic African cuisine, cultural storytelling and community impact.
From award-winning culinary achievements to mentoring students and supporting scholarships for Black, refugee and immigrant students, Sodji continues to make a difference in the community.
Her journey from MCC student to successful restaurateur reflects the power of education, resilience and purpose-driven leadership.
