It’s been a big training 💪🏼block in preparation for the Adelaide Nationals and following Worlds in January. Like all training blocks there has been ups and downs, including a few lightning storms ⛈️ whilst on water. I’m keen to see where I’m at in the bigger fleet and gain more experience.

Both exactly how we expected it to go and yet somehow still surprising.
We only managed to race 2 days out of six at the ILCA 7 world championships in Qingdao. Staying mentally switched on despite no racing after 4 days was the biggest challenge at this event.
I’m reasonably happy to have come away with 46th given the unique circumstances.
Big thank you to the race committee for doing their best to ensure fair racing despite the trying conditions and for being so hospitable throughout the regatta.
Thanks once again for the support that allows me to compete at these events. It makes all the difference.

Finished my summer trip over east ☀️. What can I say except I’m really happy with my progress and even pulled off some PB results.
I couldn’t do it without the support team behind me and the tight racing at training throughout the year.

Built lots of experience fighting in congestion this week...
I just couldn't seem to get off the start line this regatta and from there really struggled to catch back up. With some very ordinary results I found myself in bronze after the first two days. I certainly wasn't were I expected and hope to pull it together for Kiel later this year.

Finally finished up the summer over east ⛵️.
Really hit a wall halfway through this last regatta and was physically exhausted coming into the last two days of racing. Still had some great moments, but mostly learning, especially with the increased race time to 60 minutes. Finished up 90th overall in the World falling back from 60th pre final series.
