We are deeply saddened by the passing of Robert Boyko. Robert’s journey was nothing short of inspiring. When he first walked into United Boxing Club in 2024, he couldn’t finish a warm-up. Yet through determination and perseverance, he prepared himself to step into the ring at the 2025 Melee Gala. His story reflected the power of resilience and the belief that it is never too late to change your life. His courage to keep moving forward inspired everyone at the gym. For many years, M Builds has been honoured to support the Melee Gala, an event that celebrates discipline, respect, and community in addition to raising funds for worthy causes in Manitoba. Robert embodied exactly what this night represents, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all. Our thoughts are with Robert’s family, friends, and everyone at United Boxing Club during this difficult time.

We are honoured to announce the successful completion of the 355 Eveline project in Selkirk, officially celebrated at last week’s Ribbon Cutting ceremony. It has been a true privilege to work alongside the Manitoba Métis Federation—not only to help bring their vision to life, but also to deepen our understanding and appreciation of Métis culture and heritage. The Métis sash now hangs proudly in the space, a powerful and lasting symbol for the community of Selkirk. 🏆 Congratulations to our Site Superintendent Zach Morton for taking 1st place at the 2025 Skills Canada Manitoba Provincial Competition (Carpentry)! Approximately 500 young Manitobans competed over 40 Olympic-style hands-on contests at Red River College on Thursday, Zach was one of only two participants to finish the entire project within the 6-hour time limit—an impressive feat requiring precision, skill, and serious hustle. He’s now earned a spot at the Skills Canada National Competition in Regina this May! 🛠️ Special shoutout to Carole Neudorf, another Site Superintendent at M Builds, who served as Safety Officer for the event— She normally participates as a judge, but stepped back this year to support Zach's entry. Join us for the United Boxing Club Corporate Challenge Prospect Camp — two consecutive Sundays, April 27 & May 3, 2025, where you’ll vie for one of 12 coveted spots (6 matches) on in support of the local charity of choice at the M Builds Melee Gala X at Club Regent Event Centre on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for white-collar boxers to go toe-to-toe on a Vegas-style show — train like an athlete, compete like a warrior, and fundraise for a cause that truly matters. You’ll be boxing in the same ring on the same night as elite calibre international boxers from the Canadian National Team. To participate, you must have secured a sponsor business who will submit a $1,000 charitable donation which is tax-deductible. We’re not looking for the most fit, or most skilled - we’re looking for people who are coachable and willing to go through the necessary training to become a lean mean fighting machine in time for the M Builds Gala in September. If selected, you’ll commit to a 12 week training camp from July 25 to September 27 working 3X/week with United Boxing Club’s experienced coaching crew. You’ll also have to make your target weight to make your match happen. Lastly, you’ll fundraise for charity - your journey and your fundraising efforts will be tracked leading up to the event.
