Your City. Your Story. Your Canvas.
WAVEMAKERS is more than a public art project — it’s a creative movement designed to transform everyday streets into meaningful pathways that connect people, neighborhoods, and stories across Lowell.
Funded through the MassDevelopment TDI Creative Catalyst Grant, this initiative turns crosswalks into cultural landmarks — supporting walkability, community pride, and economic vitality in our city’s most active corridors.
Led by
@bymattheww Founder of
@mbm_org and made possible through a powerful collaboration between
@aaronspresents +
@rawartworkslynn — this project placed creative leadership directly in the hands of young people. Together, they imagined, designed, and painted murals that reflect the culture, vibrancy, and spirit of our city.

A massive thank you to
@aaronspresents which is built on the idea that when young people are given the opportunity to lead, create, and give back, the entire community is better for it — and WAVEMAKERS is a bold, beautiful example of that mission in action.
@vrtupresents forever grateful for your creative vision and diligence in bringing this to life!
