The concert is intended to show two sides of Sam and these tracks do that beautifully. The whole concert will be on BBC 2 and then iPlayer from August 24th. To say I’m overwhelmed to have the opportunity to work with Sam, their team, the BBC concert orchestra (conducted and arranged by Simon Hale) and the LJ singers really is an understatement. My latest two pieces of work are now both at a cinema near you. Vanya, a one man masterclass by Andrew Scott, and the Motive and the Cue, exploring the fraught collaboration between Richard Burton and John Gielgud in what became the most successful Hamlet Broadway has ever seen.
