A little ‘me time’ never hurt anyone! This Principal Bath at our Lake House project was designed to be a warm cabin like space contrasting the wide open vistas outside. The steam shower is clad in a glazed brick tile that makes the shower feel like an outdoor space. The big question is - are you taking a bath or shower? 📸 @norsworthyscott
There’s something magical about waking up in the treetops. Using a William Morris oak leaf print on the bed seemed fitting considering the tree outside. And the @celinewrightparis light adds a touch of whimsy and a soft glow. 📸 @norsworthyscott
Leading with emotion. Every detail in this cottage bathroom is inspired by the rugged landscape, the beauty in imperfection and the slower pace of life. Xx. 📸 @norsworthyscott
Join us for cocktails and card games in the Games Lounge. Bespoke cocktail height chairs in a range of beautiful fabrics surround a custom rust coloured Martha Sturdy table top under a spectacular pendant lamp. Oh and that wine cellar….. 📸 @norsworthyscott
Designing for lazy summer days by the lake had us imagining the small moments that nourish and recenter us. This projected window off the dining area seemed like the perfect place to lounge, have a coffee or just contemplate the vastness of the bay. 📸 @norsworthyscott
« Parfois, l’instinct nous pousse à tout démolir. Mais dans ce condo, c’était bien de prendre le temps de se poser la question pour voir si c’était nécessaire, même d’un point de vue environnemental. Nous avons entièrement transformé la cuisine, et l’impact n’est pas moins grand que si nous avions recommencé à zéro.» - Le designer Mazen El-Abdallah (à droite sur la photo), de @mazenstudio .

Thankyou @houseandhomemag for including us in the inaugural H&H100 and a huge thanks to our clients and collaborators for believing in us to bring to life our vision of Canadian design. House and Home magazine was one of the first magazines my mother subscribed to after arriving in Canada over 34 years ago, and I remember studying each space carefully, and that curiosity for how we live continues to inspire me with every new project we tackle. Congratulations to all Canadian talent. Pick up your issue on Nov 17 on newsstands. 😘 #HH100
BOYS’ BATH. We started with this 2”x4” pale blue tile from @sonomatilemakers and combined it with a classic white Carrara marble. It was important to chose a tile with bullnose edge profiles for the outside corners. The builder @eisner_murray did a great job ensuring it was installed beautifully. We found a set of 4 vintage sconces and had bespoke leather wrapped mirrors made (it’s water resistant leather). A classic striped Roman blind by @wesleysetodesign adds privacy in style.
POWDER ROOM 2. For the family powder room, located in the new extension, we opted for a waxed lime plaster finish on the walls and ceiling to match the limestone counters. We wanted to envelop the room in one finish to frame the view and accentuate the connection to the outdoors. We chose a more contemporary approach to lighting and a bespoke hand rubbed blackened bronze mirror.
POWDER ROOM. For the powder room in the ‘old’ part of the house, we wanted to channel classic hotel bathrooms. We found this impressive Quatre Saisons slab at @marbletrend and mapped out each piece of the sink so that the unlacquered brass @waterworks Henry faucets sit on the dark veining. Our trusted blacksmith @bazayblacksmithing fabricated the solid bronze mirror for us and we sourced the vintage Venini sconces through @1stdibs and had them rewired to North American standards. We looked for a long time to find beautiful sconces that looked this good from side profile. I think we achieved a space that is both calm but special.
