Today, I had the incredible honor of returning to where my own journey began to deliver the keynote address to the 2026 graduating class of the UNM School of Public Administration.
As a proud graduate of this program myself, it was a deeply personal full-circle moment. It reminded me that leadership, service, and perseverance can take us farther than we ever imagine when we first step into a classroom.
To the Class of 2026: congratulations on all you have achieved. Our future is brighter because of leaders like you, and I know each of you is destined to do great things.
Many thanks to the Albuquerque city team for welcoming the Santa Fe city team and guiding us through the Gateway locations. The tours offered a powerful firsthand look at how a continuum of care model can create meaningful pathways to address homelessness with compassion, coordination, and hope.

The City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development has launched the Security Assistance for Enterprises (SAFE) Grant Program to support local small businesses.
Funding is available to help improve safety, prevent crime, and support recovery after break-ins or vandalism. Eligible uses include security upgrades like cameras, lighting, and locks, as well as improvements that promote safe and welcoming business environments.
The program also helps cover unreimbursed expenses from prior incidents.
A free site security assessment from the Santa Fe Police Department is required to qualify. Materials and application support are available in Spanish.
