Two years ago I left Berlin. I didn’t realise how much I’d have to readjust.
I came back to New Zealand thinking I just needed a pause - a place to slow down and recover.
And it did give me that.
But it also brought things I didn’t expect.
Health challenges that asked me to live differently. A slower pace.
In some ways I’m still grieving the version of myself I thought I’d continue being and the places that shaped me through my twenties.
But healing isn’t a finish line.
Sometimes it’s the moment you realise the path ahead won’t look the way you planned.
Maybe that’s where trust comes in.
Because the universe doesn’t always give us the life we planned - sometimes it gives us the one we need.
So this chapter closes with gratitude and excitement for what’s to come next :).
