Craving spring this time of year so ill paint birds to pass the time. A "Ruby" throated hummingbird is a nice change from painting decay. Some how one of the few birds still in our backyard this time of year.

Also spent some time getting long overdue projects done like a little frame for my field guide pages to go in and accompany all the pieces. I have a full raccoon and deer joining the group soon.

"Oracle" has been framed and made its way to @gradientartgallery . This piece , representing May in my Birthstone and Bones series, is placed in a custom-made frame by yours truly from 100+ year old moulding I salvaged on a road trip years back. I decided to leave its finish as it was the old patina from the last century and it just felt like it added a warm old timey feeling to this painting.

The first full skeleton from my Neon Graveyard collection. "Eastern Cottontail Jackalope" comes with Hansens Creek Quartz mined here in WA state by yours truly. This little guy will be staying in my permanent collection for now and but will be up for display @gradientartgallery in the next week.
