Millions of people. Over 5,000 actions. All across the country. Workers, students, and families showed up on May 1 to say: we’re done with business as usual. From rallies and walkouts to teach-ins and workplace actions, people took collective action to demand a country that puts workers over billionaires. Because while we’re being forced to choose between rent, groceries, and care, billionaires are rigging the rules and taking more. This is what it looks like when people come together to flex real power, and it’s only the beginning. Because when we move together, the rules can change. #WorkersOverBillionaires

On Friday, we make it visible. Across the country, people are stepping up, because the stakes are clear. The cost of living keeps rising, our communities are under attack, and now even our voting rights are on the line. When billionaires rig the system, when our neighbors are targeted, and when our right to vote is threatened, we don’t sit back. We organize. We act. May Day is our moment to show what collective power looks like. We’re taking action together to demand: Tax the Rich. So families, not fortunes, come first. No ICE. No War. Our communities deserve safety, not fear. Expand Democracy, Not Corporate Power. Hands off our vote. This isn’t about one action. It’s about millions of people showing up in ways big and small to say: enough. Because when we move together, we can change the rules. #WorkersOverBillionaires

2 days until we show what it looks like when working people move together. Across the country people are showing up because the pressure is real. The cost of living keeps rising, and people are fed up. When billionaires steal from the working class, when the Supreme Court guts voting rights, and when this administration attacks our neighbors instead of the cost of living—we refuse business as usual. This Friday, May 1, isn’t just a moment, it’s a coordinated day of action where workers, students, families, and communities take a stand together. More than 500 organizations. Thousands of people. One clear message: we deserve a country that puts workers over billionaires. We’ll show up on May Day, and we’ll keep building the power it takes to change the rules. Make no mistake - the recent Supreme Court decision to disenfranchise Black voters is about weakening the power of working class people everywhere. @opinorg and @maydaystrong are proud to collaborate with organizations and community leaders supporting All Roads Lead to the South, lead by @blackvotersmtr This Saturday, May 16th, in Selma, Montgomery, and across the U.S., let’s stand together to confront the coordinated assault on our right to vote and demand a future where every vote counts. #blackvotersmatter #allroadsleadtothesouth

40 Baltimore mothers taken by ICE For @therealnewsnetwork I spoke with Anthony of @ilps.us in the middle of the Baltimore May Day march downtown, which was part of a national day of protests against billionaires and authoritarianism. Anthony said he was marching with others to free the 40 Central American Baltimore mothers who were detained by ICE last month. More info from CBS News (4/10/26): "When 40 women came for a required check-in with ICE over a two-day period in March, they were detained in holding rooms, according to the People's Power Assembly (PPA). The group heard about it from other activists in Washington state. "They do regular visits with detainees in ICE facilities and that's how they heard about this story, they brought it to us," said PPA organizer Andrew Mayton... WJZ has reached out to ICE about the women's detainment, but there's been no response." #Baltimore #trump #ice

"They want islands, we just want healthcare..." I spoke with Baltimore musician @shangosupreme in the middle of the Baltimore May Day march downtown, which was part of a national day of protests against billionaires and authoritarianism. I asked Shango and others why they were marching: "The people that are currently behind the scenes—they're doing everything in their power to get the results that they want... We should do the same thing." More coverage coming for @therealnewsnetwork ... If you're out there, we're out there too. And we want to hear your stories and lift up your voices 🎤✊🏽 #baltimore #maryland #billionaire #trump

The Trump administration and Republicans are attempting to disenfranchise millions to steal the elections, desperate to hold on to their power in the face of their declining popularity. Southern workers are calling out these attacks and organizing to stop them.
