When I landed in the US, I initially was staying with one of my cousins in her apartment in Delray, but after about three months of consistently taking the tri rail from Delray to Miami, I finally had the opportunity to live in the city with one of my closest friends, @achoofficial who not only opened the doors to his home, but into the studio where he worked. He would occasionally let me sneak in a few hours after everybody was gone, allowing me to refine my craft.
One day in his apartment, I picked up the guitar and started working on MIA. Later that same night, ACHO called, letting me know that I had about a 1-hour window to work on anything. I hit up @julianbeatz (who I have worked with on hits like “No Esperamos a Nadie” & “Hoodie), and he immediately jumped on the production, taking the song to new heights, saying, “this song can’t be given to nobody. This is your sound. This is you.”
