Tinatnagi music video out now! Happy new moon and new year!
“Tinatangi” means deeply cherished and this song asks a radical question:
What would happen if women truly believed we were irreplaceable?
In a world shaped by patriarchy, where women are commodified, compared, and conditioned to endure, Tinatangi is a rebellion. It’s about refusing to accept love that requires self-abandonment. It’s about dismantling internalized systems that taught us our worth is negotiable.
To be tinatangi is not to be owned
it is to be honored.
Tinatangi is my reminder that women were sacred before we were silenced.
This song weaves Tagalog language with feminine reclamation. It honors women who survived systems built to control their bodies, their labor, their voices and it declares that we are not disposable.
To be cherished is not a luxury.
It is a birthright.

I’ve been writing a project about identity, colonialism, womanhood, survival, Hawai‘i, and the systems that shape us before we even know who we are.
What happens when people become disconnected from their own ancestry?
What happens when colonization turns culture into aesthetics?
What happens when people are raised close to Hawai‘i, but disconnected from the history of Hawaiian sovereignty?
What happens when mixed people, diasporic people, and assimilated people are taught to search for belonging through proximity instead of truth?
AAPI identity is not one story.
Pacific Islanders are not a footnote to Asian identity.
And solidarity means being willing to learn uncomfortable history instead of romanticizing the islands while ignoring the people fighting for them.

this scene was completely intuitive and unplanned just spirit led: the cage was never invisible ,, you were just taught to doubt your own sight.
the eight of swords isn’t just restriction. It’s psychological warfare. It’s what happens when you’re conditioned to second guess your “no,” to soften your boundaries, to question your instincts in rooms that were never built for your safety.
this song came from that edge of the sword Kali ma holds with sacred rage
the moment where you can feel the manipulation — subtle, polished, dressed up as “normal,” as “play,” as something you’re supposed to be okay with. and even when you’ve already said no… they test it. they bend it they try to rewrite it.
the trap is conditioning that tells you to stay quiet about it.
to not make it a big deal.
to be agreeable.
to be likable.
thats the eight of swords.
bound, blindfolded
not because you’re weak, but because the system benefits from you not seeing your own power clearly.
this song is me taking the blindfold off.
It’s choosing my voice over comfort truth over being palatable.
safety over someone else’s entitlement.
in world shaped by patriarchy and misogyny, finding your voice isn’t just expression it’s resistance
and once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
also pretty cool cus there was 8 ppl 8 swords working on this project me and

the world can appear sweet and attractive beauty, power, sexuality, fame, wealth.
but attachment to these things can trap the soul in illusion distracting from godis
sufi teachers often say the ego loves the “sweetness” of the world, but the seeker must learn to see beyond it
discipline nafs (desires) so it doesnt control ur actions which alter ur reality
attraction, sexuality, and charm are not inherently evil, but they are tests of awareness
dont be easily manipulated by desire it disconnects u from soul and sincerity
