I’m Still Here 🥲❤️ This photo is my baby and I really feel like it changed my life. So much of my dance with trauma and healing is in this photo, and part of me is still a little surprised that I put it out there instead of keeping it on a hard drive like I do with the majority of the photos I take. The responses I’ve gotten to this photo and this project make everything worth it 🦋❤️
Today is Naw Ruz, the first day of spring and the new year celebrated by many peoples all over the world including Baha’is. The Baha’i calendar begins with the month of Bahá, or Splendor and I am fascinated by all of the mystical magic in the names and order of Baha’i months. Today is also marks the first day of the year of Answers, which is year number 12 out of the 19-year Vahid cycle. I started making Baha’i calendars because there is so much rhythmic magic to keep up with, and the physical reminder helps me stay in sync with it all. Seeing the calendars in your spaces has brought me so much joy. It’s not too late to get one if you haven’t already ❤️ happy Naw Ruz!
