All My Faith, my 5th record, will be released on July 24, 2026! Today, you can listen to TWO of the new songs on my Bandcamp. You can also view the track listing there. I’ve been playing a lot of these songs out on the road already, so you might even recognize a few of the titles.
This record is a collection of ten live performances, captured expertly in the studio by audio engineer Sean Sullivan. Being totally present in the performance of a song is a muscle I have definitely strengthened over so many hundreds of evenings with my audiences, and I wanted to give that level of presence and commitment to you, my listeners, on a full-length album. It was deeply important to me that each song was an unedited and unaltered live performance, an unbroken musical conversation in time.
From jotting down song ideas in a river canyon to walking into the recording studio, I was nurturing self-acceptance as my North Star. I can observe other people all day long but have been afraid to write about my own heart in such detail—opening up about my relationship with my partner and my relationship with touring. I also wanted real self-acceptance in my singing, and I wanted all the other musicians in the room to understand just how much I trusted and accepted their instincts.
That room of musicians included Shelby Means, Joel Timmons, Jo Schornikow, Ethan Ballinger, Spencer Cullum, Ethan Jodziewicz, and Dom Billett. They MADE this record and I am so grateful to each of these people.
With the swells of pedal steel and the textures of three part harmony vocals dancing in my mind, I began to imagine who might be able to translate this gathering of songs to a visual realm. I reached out to my friend Lee Ferris, and he was up to the task. He created this stunningly evocative original cover art for All My Faith. I can’t imagine a better doorway to enter into the world of this album! He also created an 8-page lyric booklet that accompanies the CD, and he did a beautiful gatefold vinyl layout, which is the kind that you can open like a book and lay across your lap as you listen.
I’m so excited to begin sharing the world of All My Faith with you.

It’s the eve of a new record season for me. I wrote “self-acceptance” on a whiteboard, fell in love with the sound of it, and decided that it would be the guiding light of my 5th solo record. Spent just 3 days in the studio after a year of writing. Sang my heart out with a live band, full takes, no edits. Did a photo shoot out on some favorite trails wearing some favorite clothes, my sweetheart holding the camera. More to come next Friday, but in the meantime if you’re a sleuth maybe you can find a sneak peek of a song called “Confidence of the Sun” out there somewhere.
Also it’s hammock season 😎 enjoy your weekend!

I have been pretty deep in my Maya-wears-other-hats-and-works-other-non-music-jobs-too-while-preparing-her-next-record-mode, but I am venturing out for a few special shows this weekend! Friday March 27th is a house concert in NYC, just a handful of tickets remain. Saturday March 28th I will play a show (and give a keynote?! that should be fun!) at the Cape May Singer Songwriter Festival. Sunday March 29th I will play 2 sets at Back Porch Fest in Northampton MA, and then put my guitar in its case and take my fiddle out and play sets with Shelby Means that same afternoon! And then I will be the fiddler in the Shelby band for the rest of the week. Onwards! ✨

Here’s a little sneak peek of one of the tracks I’ll be releasing on my album, dropping May 29th!
This is a stripped-down version of a Jim Ringer song I recorded with one of my favorite singers, Maya de Vitry.
You can watch the full video in YouTube. Keep an eye out for the full band version when the album drops!

Many thanks to @rootsradiowmot in Nashville for having me play your members concert on Wednesday. Wonderful and inspiring to hear @radneyfoster too. I’m not on the road at all right now (but you bet I will be out there in the fall with my new record, All My Faith!) so just dropping in to a musical state of being for one night felt like jumping into a cold lake in the best way. Refreshing and energizing!!! And my band… Jo Schornikow ripping the keys, Rhees Williams on bass, Hannah Delynn on harmony vocals… 🙏Thank you WMOT for championing local artists, even / especially the DIY ones! And we may have made some videos for you to enjoy, so stay tuned 😊

My amazing mom!! She birthed 4 babies, and raised us up to love our Mother Earth, to eat our vegetables, and to follow our hearts. A nurse, a painter, an activist, a gardener, and a kindred explorer of cold lakes. She’s a wonder!!
Hey Nashville! There’s a local primary today. Apparently there’s been abnormally low turnout so far (including early voting). Go make the time to vote today if you haven’t already! These local elections really matter, a lot.
Heading home to Nashville after the sweetest 4-night tour opening up for (and collaborating with) The Steel Wheels! Their music and band culture is deeply inspiring, and it truly filled my musical cup to have a chance to jam on fiddle and banjo with them too! I sure hope we get to do it again. If you caught one of my opening sets, you likely heard a lot of my soon-to-be-released songs, so stay tuned! And, if you’ve never been to @redwingroots (the festival that @thesteelwheels host in Virginia every June!) consider this your sign to consider it! It’s all these good vibes and kindness, for a whole weekend.
If you have even a passing interest in writing songs (as in, you don’t need any experience!) consider attending my Zoom songwriting workshop this month! Choose between Saturday April 18 (12-2pm central time) and Sunday April 19 (4-6pm central time). These are interactive workshops, capped at 10 people. It’s the best and most real way I’ve found to connect with y’all on this whole big internet! Email [email protected] to sign up. $50 suggested contribution. There are only a few spots left in each right now.

Have you reserved your spot at camp yet?! Getting excited to be there with the great @mayadevitry joining us this time. She’s one of our favorite songwriters, so much so that we recorded her song Ribbon for our new album. Check her stuff out, and join us in the Catskills this July. Sad Songs Summer Camp VII.
I’ve been out here playing fiddle in the Shelby Means Band this week! It’s so refreshing to have a chance be a side musician, jam with these guys, and experience Shelby sharing her solo music with these wonderful audiences! We have been nurturing this idea of a collaborative musical ecosystem for years now, and it sure is special. Shelby generously invited me to try one of my new songs, “Coin in Your Soul”, bluegrass style the other night at @narrowscenter in Fall River, MA! @shelbass on bass,
@jacobmeansmusic on mandolin, @joeltimmonsmusic on guitar, and thank you @kathleenparksmusic for the video and for opening the show!
