We are delighted to introduce a new magic-maker at AJS! Maya brings over a decade of barbering and session styling experience—working in salons, barbershops, and on set in LA, NYC, and PDX. But her artistry doesn’t stop there. She’s also a student of Religion & History at OSU, a trained death doula, and a practitioner of both Vajrayana Buddhism and the Episcopal tradition. She reads cards, studies the stars, and is currently training in chaplaincy. For Maya, all of these paths weave naturally into her salon practice—where a haircut can be both ritual and refresh. So she’s a dreamy fit for our little temple @azaleajanesalon where big inner transformation sometimes takes the shape of a bangin’ haircut. 😋
Maya (we hope!!) will be navigating a guest-artist-to-resident artist pathway as she migrates from Washington to Corvallis to continue her studies in person at OSU.
