Gifts for my mama for her birthday 09/22/25, made with the love she has and continues to pass on to me.
1-3: made with materials that were mostly passed down from her. Flowers from her yard, her old makeup, metal ornament, ink stamps, twine, ribbon, lace, rocks, turquoise stone closure, sapphire charm, her leaf wax seal and gold wax.
4: overgrown - resembling letting her children thrive and grow, showing how she has cared over time. A ceramic pot with twine for hair, lace trim, with rocks, a candle, and flowers. symbolic of her devotion and consistent nurture. The untrimmed overgrowth is a sign of thriving, of not being held back, and allowing growth to happen in its own way.
