April was a month to remember. đź’›
I trained hard at @lvlupusa_ with coaches @leoruizskt@ryan.farmz@raddada to prep for the @jackalopeblockparty skateboarding contest in Ventura, and along the way I landed tricks I’d been chasing for a while: backside airs, frontside airs, rock and rolls, and backside nose grabs. I went higher than I ever have.
I also stepped in front of the camera for the first time, acting in a music video for artist and friend @carlyismusic , brand new experience and one I loved.
My Uncle @derick.borba flew in from Brazil to spend time with the family, which made the month even sweeter.
To top it off, I planned a surprise for my mom’s birthday: a visit to the Grammy Museum, my first time bowling, and a Josiah Queen concert in LA.
So grateful for every one of these moments. I worked hard, had fun, and skated higher than ever. 🛹✨
March was so special for our princess @maya.borba 🥹🥰
Mayas's first video part is here! 🔥
Big tricks, big smiles, big memories.
Maya, you flew over the box.
No hands blunt to fakie.
Nose blunt.
Pushing yourself every single session.
You stepped onto the @xgames draft red carpet.
You were on @nbcsandiego for the first time.
You stood alongside other amazing girls, helping grow something bigger than just skateboarding.
But more than all of that…
what makes us proud is who you are.
Your kindness.
Your joy.
The way you cheer for others.
The way you keep going, even when you’re scared.
Maya, we pray you always shine like you did this March.
With wonder.
With courage.
With a heart that lifts everyone around you.
We’ll always be your biggest fans. ❤️

International Women’s Day is here, and it feels like a beautiful moment to pause and celebrate the girls and women who are changing skateboarding with courage, heart, and determination.
It is incredible to see girls like @maya.borba , @blabriela , and @_meaganguy featured in a recent story by @nbcsandiego , filmed at @lvlupusa_ in Vista, California.
“I love it because now there is a lot more girls. The skateboarding community is really nice, and it is a really fun sport.” - Maya ❤️
Those words carry a quiet kind of hope. Not long ago, many girls arrived at skateparks and saw very few others like them. Today, that is changing. Every girl who drops in, every girl who tries again after a fall, every girl who cheers for another girl is helping reshape what skateboarding looks like.
And it is beautiful to watch.
We are deeply grateful for the people and organizations that have helped make this possible.
Thank you @skaterising for opening the door and showing skateboarding to so many new girls, giving them the confidence to step on a board for the very first time.
Thank you @exposureskate for lifting women’s skateboarding higher and higher, proving that girls belong at every level of the sport.
Because of efforts like these, a new generation of girls is growing up believing something powerful:
That they belong.
That they are strong.
That they can try, fall, get back up, and fly.
Happy Women’s Day to every girl and every woman who keeps pushing forward and inspiring the next generation. 🛹💜

"Our first team Team Rider! Welcome Maya!" - Patrick Southern, Neuro Skateboarding Founder
My name is Maya, I’m 11, and skateboarding has given me so much joy, confidence, and amazing friends. And what makes this even more special is the mission behind Neuro. They support kids with autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent minds, and even give back by helping fund therapy and programs that families really need. That means a lot to me, and I’ll do my best to represent this the right way.
I love that skateboarding can help kids grow stronger, feel more confident, and be part of a community where everyone belongs 🛹
Thank you #NeuroSkateboarding for believing in me, and to everyone who supports me along the way ❤️
If you’d like to support too, you can use my code MAYA10 for 10% off boards through the link 🛹
Let’s keep skating and lifting each other up 💛

Noah,
Not everyone knows this.
In 2020, when you were just a little baby, you got sick, very sick. The kind of sick that brings a family to its knees. The kind that fills rooms with countless prayers.
The doctors told us you had two big aneurysms in your tiny heart, and that your life would be fragile, that it would be limited. Those were the scariest days of our lives. We didn’t know what the future would look like. We only knew we loved you more than anything.
We are forever grateful for the doctors, the prayers, the support, the love we received. And above all, we thank God for healing you.
Six years ago, we were praying for your heart to be strong.
Today, just a couple days before you turn seven, we decided to celebrate six years of your cure by sharing your very first skateboarding video part. The music was AI, but the tricks are real, so real.
Daddy made it with tears in his eyes and gratitude in his heart.
That same little heart that once needed so much protection now races down ramps. It encourages friends. It pushes through fear. It gets back up after every fall. It beats with courage, with kindness.
You fought before you even knew what fighting meant.
You are our miracle boy. Our hero!
Our reminder that life is a gift.
As you shout every time you land a new trick:
"Let’s go!!!!"
We love you forever, buddy,
Dad, mom, and Maya ❤️
