2025 GR86 Maxx Performance Dyno Tune
This 2025 Toyota GR86 came into Maxx Performance for a custom ECUTek dyno tune arriving standard apart from the hard to find GR Performance intake!
We bolted it up to our mainline hub dyno and pre ran the car as arrived for 147rwkw.
From there we got to work developing a tailored Maxx Performance ECUTek calibration incorporating a range of RaceROM features including Flat foot shifting, Launch control and Multi map support.
Once tuning was complete the GR86 finished up at:
163rwkw
A great gain from tuning a near standard small capacity N/A engine with torque also increasing by around 10% making the car noticeably more responsive and enjoyable to drive ready for its next track day!

We had this super clean Y62 Patrol for a Custom Maxx Performance Dyno tune with multi map tune options via ECUTEK ( including transmission tune )
This Y62 arrived to us ready for a tune with
Pacemaker headers and exhaust including high flow cats and a Scalzo 4x4 airbox and snorkel combo.
Focused on optimising the factory ECU to tie in with the existing mods we bolted the Patrol up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work developing a tailored calibration to the engine and transmission improving power, response and overall drivability.

FG XR6 Turbo Maxx Performance Stage 4 Package
This FG XR6 Turbo Ute came into Maxx Performance for our proven Stage 4 package transforming the ute into a seriously tough street setup!
Our Stage 4 package includes:
- Bosch 1000cc injectors
- Walbro 460 in tank fuel pump
- Crow race valve springs & retainers
- Process West 4” turboside race intake & battery relocation kit
- Garrett GTX3582 supercore including flapper mod and upgraded actuator
- Process West Stage 2 intercooler kit
- XForce 4” turbo back exhaust
- Genuine Ford spark plugs
- Fuel filter replacement
- Custom Maxx Performance dyno tune ( upgraded to multi tune )
While replacing the valve springs we also fitted a set of upgraded head studs to help future proof the combo.
Once all the hardware was installed we bolted the ute onto our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work refining the calibration and multi tune.

A tough, responsive package with excellent drivability and plenty of power on tap when required!

Ford Ranger Raptor Maxx Performance Custom Dyno Tune
This Ranger Raptor came into Maxx Performance for a power run and check over after being modified and tuned elsewhere. The owner felt the vehicle was lacking the punch it should have so we put it on our Mainline Hub Dyno to see where things stood.
As it arrived the Raptor produced 290rwkw
Knowing there was more left on the table adding to the already fitted larger intercooler we fitted:
- Process West larger crossover pipe
- K&N high flow air filter
From there we started fresh with a complete Maxx Performance custom dyno tune tailoring both the engine and transmission calibration specifically to suit the bolt on combination.

FG G6E Turbo Maxx Performance Custom Dyno Tune
This G6E Turbo came into Maxx Performance for a round of supporting mods and a custom dyno tune to make these mods work together.
Already having an exhaust and battery side intake fitted got to work fitting:
- Upgraded 1000cc injectors
- High flow Walbro fuel pump
- Genuine Ford spark plugs gapped to suit
Once everything was installed we bolted the car up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and got to work on the custom dyno tune refining both the engine tune and ZF transmission calibration.

Maxx Performance Subaru VA WRX Dyno Testing
It was time to get our R&D VA WRX onto the dyno to see how the platform responds to tuning and our first round of upgrades.
We bolted it up to our Mainline Hub Dyno and ran it up for a completely stock baseline of 169awkw
From there we worked through a series of incremental changes and testing:
- K&N panel filter (no tune) 176awkw
- K&N filter & custom tune 190awkw
- Process West intake & custom tune 210awkw
A clear improvement at each step showing just how well these cars respond to simple mods backed by proper calibration.
This is exactly why we’re investing time into this R&D platform real testing, real data and proven results………and we've still got a few more boxes to open😉

Maxx Performance Calder Park Track Day
We headed out to Calder Park Raceway for a Tampered Motorsport Track Days bringing along a mix of shop cars and joining some customer cars for a solid day of testing and seat time.
We took our Bugeye WRX Wagon and our Subaru specialist Cam’s GC8 WRX also along for the day were customers in the VE SS and the GR Yaris
A great day with plenty of track time saw everyone working for their times:
- GC8 WRX – 1:06.8 ( fastest overall on the day )
- VE SS – 1:07.5
- GR Yaris – 1:08.7
Unfortunately our Bugeye WRX Wagon broke a brand new driveshaft early in the first session cutting its day short. That said the car was feeling strong after the latest round of upgrades so we’re keen to get it back out there soon.
That’s racing… and we’ll be back!

2004 Subaru WRX STI Maxx Performance Flex Dyno Tune
This Blobeye WRX STI came into Maxx Performance with hopes to refine an old tune done elsewhere and make use of the flex fuel setup via the Haltech ecu
As the previous calibration was carried out elsewhere we started from scratch building the tune to suit the setup properly. First on E85 then worked back through to 98 ensuring smooth transitions and consistent performance across both fuels.
Results on our Mainline Hub Dyno:
296awkw on E85
230awkw on 98
The end result is a smoother more refined setup with more power and the added benefit of flexibility between fuels as required.
With the current supporting mods this STI is now an ideal candidate for a larger turbo upgrade down the track.

- XForce turbo back exhaust

2014 Subaru VA WRX New Maxx Performance R&D Car
Further expanding our Subaru fleet we’ve recently purchased a 2014 Subaru VA WRX as our next R&D car to enable us to put together packages from tune only to drive in / drive out performance packages for both street and track!
Purchased stock this car will be used as our dedicated R&D platform for the FA20 turbo engine where we’ll be testing a range of performance upgrades to see what actually works!
We’ll be documenting the process, sharing the results and building this car step by step along the way!
Within an hour of purchasing we had the car back at the shop for a complete driveline fluid change with motulaustralia oils, some shockworks_suspension coilovers and TE37s with Nankang AR1’s pulling off the white on white combo 👌

Toyota GT86 Maxx Performance Flex Fuel Dyno Tune
This 2013 Toyota GT86 came into Maxx Performance for a custom ECUTek RaceROM flex fuel dyno tune adding performance, flexibility and some extra features to this already fun platform.
