A classic red wine from the Roman town Orange in the Vaucluse. As usual with Rhône Valley Reds, the notes are deep yet smooth, with hints of sweet spice and a touch of citrus rind.
A perfect option for Christmas, the festive notes will work very well alongside your FAT Christmas Dinners. 🍗
Pot Luck, 2023
Grape: Pinotage
Place: Swartland, South Africa
Notes: Peaches, Effervescent, Crisp, Light
We checked out @thetradingroute Oktoberfest menu — and of course, we had to get one of everything.
Easy drinking was therefore required, and this bottle of Pot Luck brought the goods. When I say effervescent, we really had to be patient for this Pét-Nat to settle after popping the bottle.
Naturally carbonated through the fermentation process, the notes of red fruits and that crisp touch on the palate nicely cut through a protein-dense meal. Definitely check out Trading Route for great vibes, great drinking with simple food, done right.

La Dure Lutte, 2023

Notes: Strawberries, Vinegar/Acidic, Fresh, Juice
During our road trip through France and Spain, we stumbled upon La Dure Lutte at an outdoor music event.
This 100% Merlot natural wine, grown at Domaine de Fréa near Bordeaux, boasting a unique acidity thanks to its proximity to the Bay of Biscay.
Although I typically prefer softer reds, the bold, vinegary flavour was a refreshing change.
What I love most about wine like this is how it can evoke nostalgia, even if it's not your favorite.

Kyrenia 2023

We were looking for something to complement a big Friday night, homemade Chicken Gyros. I picked up this bottle from @adhocwineshop in Manchester & under recommendation from their lovely team, this Kyrenia 2023 worked perfectly.
From the pink-skinned Roditis Grape variety, the vineyards where this grape grows sit fittingly in the ruins of the ancient city of Kyrenia in Greece.
Greek wine isn’t something I have been exposed to much, but the citrus & saline notes enhanced the food even more than I anticipated. Would definitely recommend picking this is up if you enjoy smooth Whites with lots of texture.
