For Sale: 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS M471 (Lightweight) An extraordinary ex-rallying, mostly unrestored and very original Carrera 2.7 RS, delivered new to Beirut, Lebanon. The only recorded example delivered as new to Lebanon, competing in various national and international rallies, including The Beirut-Damascus Rally with co-driver Samir Homse. Soon after delivery to the Lebanese capital, chassis #1247, equipped as it remains today, was pressed into competition and entered as car No 1 into The Marlboro Mountain Rallye. Between delivery and 1975 the car clocked up 47,000kms before being placed into long-term storage as civil war engulfed the region. While the building sustained significant damage, the main structure – and the Carrera RS inside – managed to survive. RS #1247 was rediscovered in 2006, and with the assistance of James and Don Shead the owning family exported and shipped the car to the UK, with Autofarm assessing the condition. Instead of restoring the car in the traditional sense, and thereby removing all of the car’s visual history, it was the new owners wish to take a conservation approach and to preserve all the patina and cosmetic imperfections that the car had acquired throughout its remarkable life, both as a rally car and survivor of the war. In subsequent years, we have also carried out routine service and maintenance to this car, always respecting and helping preserve its originality. We can certainly attest to how well this car drives and how it continues to draw fascination and admiration wherever it goes. Complete with UK registration, we are delighted to offer this unique 2.7 Carrera RS Lightweight on behalf of its current and still only second owner from new. Ex–Racing Team Holland / Ben Pon — 1964 Porsche 904 GTS We are proud to have brokered the sale of chassis #904-055—one of the finest surviving Porsche 904 GTS examples in existence. Still wearing its original factory bodywork, complete with 1965 series-two updates, this car remains in remarkable preservation-class condition. With multiple victories across the 1964–65 seasons at Zandvoort, Spa, the Nürburgring, and Solitude, plus a 2nd-place finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, #055 stands as one of the great Racing Team Holland machines. Ben Pon himself described it as his most loved Porsche racing car of them all. A truly outstanding example — its condition today is a testament to the dedication and stewardship of its small group of long-term owners who preserved this jewel with extraordinary care 🧡🏁
