opening day, remitting unfinished paintings to the light from the bowels of a studio unusable in colder months, finding the turn of the season, back to cyclical time bound anachronisms that are immemorial and un-phased by torrents of unflinching teleological motion around us

Finding ancient artwork in a local ftp download of my website. This is a stop motion I made in 2007 that was held in a temp directory. Can’t remember why My site has been collecting things since 1999. hand coded html, DreamWeaver and Wordpress versions and hundreds of artworks and texts … and it was taken offline recently as the hosting company closed up shop. making a new one soon from the clutter…. maybe my first agentic archive

Bringing these to drawings Bridgeport today for CT State Housatonic faculty show. From 2024 to I made about 30 large ink drawings on multiple panels, using only blue and black inks. I’m calling them blue flowers, they are about all kinds of different themes. 24” x 39” in pine frames

A few of the colored pencil drawings I made during the pandemic. The first one I think is one the most clear in showing the strange juxtaposition between sensing danger from outside and the warmth of the interior. We lived in various fairly rural locations for a year or so, and there was a real awareness of the family as a center, and engagement with nature, more completely than I've probably had at any other time.

Still from Spiral Path. The Wood Nymph appears at the end of the film, embodied as part moth, part woman, in various ratios, voiced by @sumnermickey@adelaidekari and I finished the film last summer, to the extent it can be finished by extending it by 6 minutes, with lots of help from our friends. Spiral Path is 26 minutes, HD animated video
