Always pushing it further, building closer, higher. As if the horizon is something we can own if we get close enough. The sea is the only thing that’s not trying to impress anyone.
I actually started out in photography by shooting concerts. Most of you probably don’t even know that. It’s still the thing that feels the most natural to me.
When I first picked up a camera, I was 14-15yo, taking trains alone, super late at night, going all over Paris suburbs just to shoot local metal shows for the artist or music webzines. Tiny venues, emerging artists, no budget. This is where i made some of my first friends. I was moving around constantly, and at some point I had access to a lot of Paris venue. That’s where I Iearned everything.
Back then I used to follow bands on tour the old-school way. Carrying gear everywhere, tetrising in and out the tour van at border police controls. There wasn’t much comfort, but there were incredible moments.
Music photography is still the place where I feel the most at ease. My first love in photography.
I live in Marseille now, and I’ve started shooting concerts again just for the fun of it. With no pressure, just the rush and the energy I’ve always loved. I’m enjoying it a lot, so I’m going to keep going this year. Hope you’re into it. 🫶🏼
I moved to Marseille 15 months ago to get a fresh perspective, both artistic and personal. Best decision of my life. This city is top tier for artists — everything here feels out of this world. 💫
