VALE Richard Foreman. The Godfather of New York downtown Avant-Garde theatre. His Ontological-Hysteric theater taught us to experience moments in performance in new and different ways.. rather than being bound within the context of narrative. I had the privilege of working with him and then directing the Australian premieres of 3 of his plays. One of the most meaningful artistic experiences of my life. Generations of great artists will be forever indebted to him. 🙏
