Photos from before the landslide, and from after, all around a great part of BC - where Trailforks apparently lies, and three hours is more like eight.
Very lucky to have had an amazing 2023. Trips to the Arctic, Antarctic, Patagonia, SE Asia, and plenty of exploring at home - all with great people.
A few weeks ago, Julia and I finished up our fall trip with five days riding across Cao Bang, Vietnam, from Hanoi. Here it is on Ektachrome 100. Time to recover a shoulder and get back at it in 2024.
Julia turned 23 today, and we had the chance to spend her birthday getting heat exhaustion in the sun at Angkor Wat. Photos from that, from some extended stints on motorcyles across Vietnam, and from Cat Ba last month.
Julia - I'm very lucky to be on this trip with you, and spending my life with you. Of course, mostly because you tolerate me, a rare trait. Also because you make every moment great, and make me laugh on a regular basis. Congratulations on being older, I love you.
9455 km added to the odometer to get to Tuk and back last month, and I think we'd happily do it all over again. Very lucky to have had the opportunity to get up to the NWT and the Yukon this year.
Everyone should do this drive, especially before the permafrost under the road melts. The Dempster might be the most beautiful road in Canada, and I'll definitely be back.
Carcross, Whitehorse, Dawson, and up into Tombstone during the first rain in a few months. Way too many amazing places to share here. And way too much mud.
