We lost our guitarist and creative partner Simon Small just over two weeks ago. Simon spent his life creating and working tirelessly to hone the creativity of others. Maximum Wage was no exception. We spent the last year in close collaboration; Simon’s impeccable ear, taste, and unique ability to foster the creative process of others made our band the best it could be. It will never be the same without him.
Our hearts have been with the community, especially Sarah. They sent us this sticker slap video a couple days ago.
Maximum Wage will return. We have no doubt that Simon would want us to carry on and keep working, keep creating, keep pushing, because he was fiercely proud of what we’d accomplished and hungry for more. The spirit of Simon Small will always be a guiding force for this band.
Hope against hope, against all odds. Tunnel of Reverb forever.
